Use of Precast concrete slabs

Give reasons for use of ‘SIPOREX’ slabs / precast slabs.

            Siporex is a trade name of ‘ready concrete slabs’ available in the market. Following are the reasons for use of Siporex.

1) Since the slabs are available in the market, elapsed time of execution on site is negligible. Hence fewer disturbances to an operating office or an occupied residence or an operating shop.

2) It is less resonant compared to M.S. or wooden mezzanine.

3) It does not corrode, rust or decay.

4) It has more sound-damping properties than wood or M.S. floors.

5) It is termite resistant.

6) It is water resistant.

7) On this floor, stone flooring or ceramic flooring can be done.

8) No electric hazards.
